Train
Calibrate the engine
Your answers set the starting depth. The engine moves from there based on how you actually perform, not what you claim.
Progress
Mastery is per skill track, and it is capped by the hardest tier you have answered correctly. You cannot reach Mastered by repeatedly getting easy questions right.
Your saved answers
Everything you type stays in this browser only. Export it if you want to keep it or hand it to a coach.
Replay Protocols
A protocol is a repeatable procedure you run on a real replay. Analysis without a procedure drifts into watching yourself play. These unlock by depth — the higher tiers assume the lower ones are habits.
Practice Plan
Generated from your two weakest tracks and from what motor-learning research says about how practice becomes performance. Regenerate it whenever your progress shifts.
Resources
Filter by what you are actually working on. Availability of channels and third-party tools changes over time — verify anything that looks stale before you rely on it.
How It Works
The four tiers are a thinking ladder, not a rank ladder
Every question in the bank is tagged to a tier. The tier is not "how good you are at Rocket League" — it is what kind of cognitive work the question demands. A Diamond who has never questioned a habit can be stuck at Tier 1 thinking, and a Gold who reasons carefully can operate at Tier 2.
| Tier | Demand | The question sounds like |
|---|---|---|
| 1 — Identify | Name what happened, and separate what you saw from what you concluded. | "What actually went wrong here, as opposed to what I felt went wrong?" |
| 2 — Explain | Trace the cause through the systems of the game: boost, space, time, rotation. | "What made that situation unwinnable eight seconds before the shot?" |
| 3 — Evaluate | Judge a decision on the information available at the time, not on the result. | "Given what I could perceive at that moment, was there a better option — and could I have executed it?" |
| 4 — Model | Reason about your own reasoning, and about the opponent reasoning about you. | "What is my model of this player, how would I know if it's wrong, and what does he think I'm about to do?" |
How the engine adapts
- Each of the six tracks has its own depth value between 1.0 and 4.0. Answering well pushes that track's depth up; missing pulls it down. Depth moves faster on a miss than on a hit, which keeps you near the edge of what you can actually do.
- The engine serves the weakest unmastered track most often, so you spend your time where the return is highest, with occasional questions from stronger tracks so they do not decay.
- Mastery is capped by evidence. Reaching Proficient in a track requires correct answers at Tier 3 or above. Mastered requires Tier 4. Grinding Tier 1 questions will plateau you at Familiar, which is the honest result.
- Hints are a ladder: the first hint reframes the question, the second narrows the field, the third all but answers it. Using hints reduces the credit for that item, because a hinted answer is weaker evidence that you can do it unaided.
What this module cannot do
There is no AI grading your written answers here — this page is a single HTML file with no server and no model behind it. Free-response items are scored by an explicit rubric that you apply to your own answer after seeing an expert response. That is a real technique (self-explanation with a worked example), and it works, but it depends on your honesty. Every free-response item also has a Copy coaching prompt button that packages your answer, the scenario, and your current depth into a prompt you can paste into an AI assistant that can read and respond to it.
